Mike Marvins

        A fourth generation professional photographer, Mike Marvins has traveled Big Bend with a backpack, by car and on horseback for over twenty years.  He is a Master of Photography and a Fellow of both the American Society of Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.  Mike’s photographs are also in the collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum-London, The Grace Museum, The International Photography Hall of Fame, and the New Orleans Museum of Art.

       Mike lives in Houston and is a part-time resident of the Texas Hill Country. Mike has captured the grandeur, remoteness, rich history, and dramatic ecological diversity of Big Bend which has caused it to take on an almost mythological status for travelers.
